Hi there. First of all, whenever pregnancy is even possible, a woman should treat her body as if she is pregnant. That means not taking any recreational drugs or drinking alcohol, quitting if she smokes cigarettes, checking with her doctor about the safety of prescription medications she may taking, and starting prenatal vitamins, or .4 mg of folic acid a day, right away -any woman who might get pregnant whether she's planning it or not, should be on a folic acid containing supplement to prevent birth defects. Once you've taken care of these important safety issues, you can take a deep breath and wait until the normal time for her period to start. If still no period, take an over-the-counter pregnancy test. These are very reliable. If negative, you can repeat the test in another week or two, but in the meantime she keeps treating your body as if pregnant. If her period still does not return, she'll need to see her doctor to find out why. I hope this helps a little bit.
