Lump on insole/arch of foot

I wore heals for the first time in a long time and was on my feet for a few hours. The next morning I had a quarter sized lump in the arch of my foot. It's a little painful and does cause me to walk funny because of this. It's not gone down in a weekWhat could it be?

I would agree with Dr. Reinkraut's response below. Trying to explain a "lump" to a Physician and your Physician actually seeing the "lump" are two different things. There are a few differentials to consider, everything from a simple blister, bruise, to a plantar fibroma. Seeing a specialists is priceless! If your symptoms improve with stretch, massage, ice and anti inflammatories within a week your good. If they do not change or get worse, you should see a Foot and Ankle Specialist sooner then later.
