Q: What got you into this specific medical field?
A: During college I discovered that I excelled at problem solving and I enjoyed working with people. Quality dentistry requires a love of solving problems for a variety of personalities. The diagnostics and treatments I provide every day make dentistry a great fit for me.

Q: What landed you in your city, and what is it that you like about the neighborhood?
A: Born and raised in the Midwest, I graduated from Decatur High School in Federal Way, Washington. Though my family returned to Indiana, my love of the Northwest kept me in Seattle. After dental school, my wife and I chose Redmond to start our family, and my professional practice. The proximity to mountains, water, and the many wonderful people of Redmond make this a perfect fit for our family.

Q: Where did you receive your Undergraduate degree, your Professional degree, and did you participate in any Residency program?
A: I attended the University of Washington for both undergraduate and dental school.

Q: Do you belong to any Professional Associations?
A: Seattle King County Dental Society; Washington State Dental Association; American Dental Association; Comprehensive Treatment Planning Seminars study club; President, University of Washington Dental Alumni Association.

Q: What year did you begin practicing?
A: 1993.

Q: What investments in your practice equipment and facilities have you made?
A: I have invested in the latest technology to bring my patients the best treatment possible. CEREC CAD/CAM, lasers, digital radiography and intra-oral photography are used daily in my beautifully-decorated office to provide patients with convenient, durable, comfortable restorations. I am also a certified Invisalign dentist, allowing me to straighten teeth with invisible braces.

Q: What procedures do you feel your practice excels in above others?
A: With the investments we’ve made in staff and technology, we can now diagnose and treat problematic teeth in a single visit with the best procedures and materials available.

Q: What are the most challenging parts of your every day practice?
A: One challenge I face every day is helping patients see their dental care not as a transaction but as a lifestyle choice. Next to my family, I value my health more than anything. Dentistry is all about providing a healthy lifestyle. Our primary mission is to help our patients avoid dental disease and tooth loss through prevention and excellent restorative care. Another challenge is sifting through massive amounts of information about dental products and treatments. Scientific articles run side by side with advertisements. Manufacturers market directly to patients. My role is to decipher what makes sense for the dental health of each of my patients and effectively communicate that information.

Q: What are the best moments that make it worthwhile?
A: Seeing smiles from healthy mouths! I love providing beautiful long-lasting restorations in a comfortable facility, with a highly skilled staff, and using the latest technology. Now is a great time to be a dentist!

Q: What are your office hours; including lunch hours?
A: Tuesday - Thursday 7am - 5pm, and Friday 7am - 2pm.

Q: What insurances are your doctor(s) in-network with? Are they HMO or PPO's? Does your office offer financing?
A: PPO providers: Premera, WDS, MetLife, Regence. We have financing through Care Credit.
