They greet you with a smile and never seem rushed. My hygienist was wonderful - very sweet, friendly, and GENTLE! She LISTENED to my concerns and proceeded accordingly. Everyone on staff here has a way of making you feel comfortable and AT EASE (which is saying a lot in a dentist's office!) I love being treated respectfully - even though I ask a myriad of questions and have several concerns they have to work around. They don't just brush them off as irrelevant or ridiculous. They treat me as an equal and work WITH me. They all. especially Dr. Messer, take the time to answer my questions and make me comfortable. I've never been in another dentist's office where you are made to feel like an important friend and not rushed through without even eye contact. The staff are all very good at what they do. The care is outstanding. They inspire trust. It's the whole ATMOSPHERE that is unique."

Tod Brown"First of all, I am biased because I LOVE my dentist (Dr. Messer). She and her husband Harold are off-the-charts wonderful people. Professionally, as a dentist, Dr. Messer is extremely skilled and goes out of her way to make sure both she and the rest of her staff are as comfortable as possible. And when you are dealing with someone who is genuinely a nice person, it makes the experience tremendous.
Another thing is how Harold and Dr. Messer try to stay state-of-the-art with anything they can do to make the office better. Incidentally, the office is beautiful.
Lastly, I just had a crown put in and I wanted to make sure I gave a shout out to Dr. Messer's assistant Tami who, besides also being a genuinely nice person is probably the most skilled technician I've had the pleasure of being a patient of. Sometimes, you can just tell when someone really knows their stuff. Thanks to the whole office. You are all great!!!!" -

"I am not exaggerating when I say that my experiences with Dr. Messer, and all of her staff with whom I’ve interacted, have easily been among the best medical experiences of my life. They have certainly provided my overall best dental experiences. Their level of compassion and competence is well beyond the norm and one’s sense of “this is better than I could possibly have hoped for” even extends to the office décor and amenities. For example, unprecedented in my experience, patients are offered access to the on-site meditation room, also used by office staff.
I found Dr. Messer by “Googling” “TDM Specialist” and accessing her website. I took this action because I was quite desperate. Following poor quality dental work by another practitioner, I’d been struggling with substantial face, jaw, and neck pain and pain and ringing in my left ear. I was also having great difficulty sleeping.
Prior to phoning Dr. Messer’s office, I’d seen three other dentists, two General Practitioner MDs, an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist, and three massage therapists. I’d even flown back to the Pacific Northwest to see my previous dentist. All of these visits had resulted in multiple courses of antibiotics, more and less useful advice and, in one case, an assessment so dismissive and cavalier that the doctor who offered it will be getting a much less positive review than the one being offered here. Regrettably, none of them made the diagnosis of TMD and so no fully effective treatment had been provided. A massage therapist suggested that TMD might be the issue and that led me to finding Dr. Messer.
My typical previous experience with local medical and dental offices had been having to wait for an initial appointment for days, weeks, or even months. By contrast, Michael, part of Dr. Messer’s extraordinary front office staff, took my initial call, heard the great difficulty I was in, and scheduled me for an appointment early the following morning. His care and compassion were so evident that I was immediately comforted and felt I’d found the right place. When I arrived the next morning, he and Jennifer, his colleague at the reception desk, were care-taking and welcoming. Having had little sleep for the previous five days, and being in an excruciating amount of pain, I was emotionally messy and physically disheveled. Their kindness was such a balm, that I felt better, even while just awaiting my appointment.
Masumi, Dr. Messer’s dental assistant and technician introduced herself and took me back to a treatment room. She was just as kind as I’d found Michael and Jennifer to be and as careful as she could have been about not causing me further pain by doing the necessary examination. Then Dr. Messer arrived and assessed my situation. It was clear that her manner set the tone for the office and her entire staff. She herself is kind, competent, and compassionate, well beyond the norm. I was offered a full explanation of what was creating my difficulties and appropriate treatment was fully discussed. Before she left to attend to other patients, she also let me know she’d be referring me to an oral surgeon for evaluation and that we would continue to follow up at her office. Finally, she offered me her cell phone number, making herself easily available should I have any questions.
Within the very same visit, Masumi fashioned an NTI device for me…briefly, a very small piece that fits over just a few front teeth and help to relax the jaw. Incredibly, my pain was immediately and substantially diminished. I’ve worked with Masumi on two occasions to get a perfect fit for my NTI and this young woman also embodies the highest qualities one would hope for from a healing professional…kindness, competence, and compassion, well beyond the norm.
Finally, Harold, Dr. Messer’s office manager, and Michael, whom I’ve previously praised, deserve one more piece of recognition. Fees for services do need to be discussed. I found that both of these professionals did even this piece of business with real care and concern for the patient.
Dr. Messer, her staff, and facility, have my highest recommendation and my deep gratitude.
