Would you recommend a stress test for a person who was just diagnosed with A-fib within the past two weeks?

Yes, though certainly not all cardiologists would agree. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is not usually caused by coronary artery disease (CAD) but the two diseases and their symptoms often coexist and overlap. Other investigation such as an echocardiogram and bloodwork is also warranted.
