This looks like an area of localized inflamation. This can be due to plaque or tartar under your gum. Can also be due to a minor fungal or yeast infection. If this hasn't resolved after a thorough cleaning and treatment with an antimicrobial rinse, i suggest a biopsy. A biopsy will allow for a diagnosis which will allow for proper treatment. I don't suspect cancer!!!!
