I recently had multiple extractions performed (wisdom and number 13) The next day I felt a burning pain in my cheek and pulled it back. Across from the tooth in my cheek is a white circle with red inflammation and a white line below it irregular in shape. It is painful to touch and is becoming more painful daily. I am currently salt water rinsing and taking ibuprofen but it doesn't appear to be healing. Do you know what this might be? I have never had a canker sour and it has an odd appearance.

Dear patient, I am sorry to hear you are in pain. The picture you provide was helpful. This white lesion is a sour which can develop after extraction. It's trauma To the tissue. During the treatment, may have accidentally pulled or irritated the surrounding tissue. If you are not feeling better with salt water, please consult your dentist. We can give you a prescription rinse and/or other medication to assist in healing. Feel better soon!
