Nicole"Both my children are being seen by Dr. Hanley. As of right now, they do not need orthodontia. Dr. Hanley gave great advice for my son to avoid having the need for braces. My daughter, who is 7 years old, has at least 3 teeth that are not coming in yet. Dr. Hanley has been evaluating my children for FREE. Other orthodontists want children to wear expanders, or put braces on before all their permanent teeth have come in. This approach is only a money maker for the orthodontist. Dr. Hanley explained to me that their mouths are still growing. He takes a wait and see approach, and hasn't charged me or my insurance for evaluations.
I was a patient of Dr. Hanley's years ago as a young adult. He first tried a retainer to straighten a few teeth. When that did not work, I had braces put on. He subtracted the cost of the retainer from the cost of the braces. The office asked me what I wanted to pay each month. After the braces were paid for, I continued to see Dr. Hanley for 10 years after my braces were taken off. He made sure that the retainer (after braces) was still fitting, it wasn't rubbing, or broken. Every evaluation after my braces were off was FREE.
Before you make an appointment with an orthodontist, consider Dr. Hanley. There is no consultation fee, and he's honest."
