This would give the orthodontist an idea of what is wrong, but it takes a clinical exam to determine the proper treatment for the problem exhibited. Photos are only two dimensional depictions of a three dimensional problem. I would be very leery of an orthodontist or dentist who would base his/her diagnosis on photos only.
