Office Message

Coeur d'Alene Spine & Brain offers the full spectrum of non-operative and operative spine care.

If you are having neck fusion surgery the bone graft requires vascularization to heal properly. The vascularization is compromised by diabetes, heart disease, smoking, and vascular disease among other things. There are some things you could do to optimize your result such as use advanced biologics for the fusion material during surgery and use an external bone growth stimulator post-operatively. Discuss this with your surgeon.
