"Wisdom teeth question. Do I need to take out impacted wisdom teeth?"

In my opinion it is generally a good idea to remove impacted third molars (wisdom teeth). Leaving one in place opens the possibility of growth of certain tumors around unerupted teeth, and usually has a negative impact on the bone supporting the second molar (tooth just in front of the wisdom tooth). It has been my experience, the younger we are when we address impacted wisdom teeth the faster our recovery and the better we do in the long run.
