A week ago, I was bench pressing and realize that my shoulder felt sore after a number of sets. I pushed the thought aside but now a week later, the pain is still here and it feels like my shoulder hasn't recovered at all. What should I do?

It's quite possible you jammed the head of the humerus in its socket, or worse developed a larval tear. I would see a physical therapist.
