"Our whole family has been going to Dr. Chen's Office (Impressions Dentistry) ever since we moved to the Eastside, 7 years ago. Everyone there is fabulous. There is positive energy when you walk through the door, and it feels relaxed and welcoming. We love the big, meditative fish tank that calms nerves before appointments. That's important, given the anxiety dentist appointments can create. I greatly appreciate the attentiveness of the staff, flexibility in getting appointments altogether and at easy times of day, ease to get to this office and park, and the willingness of Dr. Chen to consider alternative points of view and provide truly considerate analysis of options available for various dental situations. He is very considerate in regard to financial implications and tends to take the most conservative approach, offering low-cost options to try, before jumping to more invasive and expensive options. At the time that we moved and switched into his care, we had been told by two other dentists that we needed to start our daughter on a very expensive (and painful) pre-orthodontic treatment, in an effort to prepare for what we were told was inevitability of braces for her crowded mouth. Dr. Chen advised waiting a year or two and provided some exercises that our child could do with tongue depressors. Seven years later, and her teeth have straightened out- no need for braces!! Obviously, this was greatly appreciated. And when I decided to treat a deep abcess with traditional medicine (acupuncture and herbs), Dr. Chen was supportive and helpful with the process. We are deeply grateful for the excellent care provided."

"They always do a great job and make me feel as comfortable as possible. Their office is cheerful and friendly, with the humongous fishtank in front and good magazines. Even though I was scared to have 4 fillings, they did it quicker than I thought and used just the right amount of medicine, so I didn't feel any pain during the treatment, and I also could eat and drink right afterwards and didn't look or talk weird after the appointment. They are so gentle and friendly, it makes even a scary appointment not bad at all. "

Children and adults will love the huge saltwater aquarium in the waiting area - it's very soothing and there is a play table for the kids to color, read and draw on. Top notch experience and so close to Newcastle - 5 min from home! They also have the largest "goodie bag" selection of any office I have been in (trial sizes of dental floss, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.)"
