I have oral thrush due some antibiotics I was taking.I have been applying gentian violet for about a day and it seems to have solved the white matter on my tongue but I have a large amount of different sized bumps on the back of my tongue that extend down my throat,not on my throat but my tongue.Also one of my tonsils is swollen.Bumps are not painful and there is no white "cream or pus" but I'm concerned at the number and varying size.Continue to apply gv or is it just irritation/inflammation?

There are different size, shape and patterns of papillae on the tongue. What you are describing may be completely normal. Take a look at some images you may find online under "tongue anatomy." The swollen tonsil may not be normal and you should let your physician take a look. Another effective treatment for thrush is a rinse called OraCare. Whatever you are using to treat the thrush, it will take more than a day or two. If the bumps and tonsil continue to concern you for more than a few days, please see your physician.
