Q: What got you into this specific medical field?
A: My father has been practicing dentistry for 30 years. I always helped out in the office when I was younger. I enjoyed the procedures and the dentist-patient relationship. Thus, I pursued a career in the dental profession.
Q: What landed you in your city, and what is it that you like about the neighborhood?
A: I grew up in Plymouth, MI. The family practice has been here for 30+ years. Plymouth is such a vibrant small city that has much to offer.

A: 2010
Q: What investments in your practice equipment and facilities have you made?
A: We are in the process of transitioning to digital x-rays. We have state of the art equipment including top of the line composite materials (tooth colored fillings). Our biggest investment is out patients. We strive to provide excellent quality care in a comfortable environment.
Q: What procedures do you feel your practice excels in above others?
A: Our practice excels in general family restorative and cosmetic dentistry. We perform all procedures from simple cleanings, root canals, tooth whitening, to veneers. Dr. Howard Hamerink is a guru when is comes to the discipline of prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures). Dr. John Hamerink takes pride in his cosmetic dentistry such as all ceramic crowns and beautiful tooth colored fillings. Our practice values our patients and the work that we provide for them.

A: Our practice participates with Delta Dental and Blue Cross. We do offer financing. Please talk to front desk for details.

A: No
Q: What are the most challenging parts of your everyday practice?
A: Running a small business can be very challenging. Also, our practice understands that dental care can be a bit expensive an times, and we are willing to work with them in order to unsure that their dental needs are addressed.
Q: What are the best moments that make it worthwhile?
A: Seeing the difference that we make in our patients lives is the biggest reward. Whether it is alleviating a patient from dental pain or providing a radiant new smile, these are what makes dentistry a great profession!
