Yes, in fact during the novel H1N1 outbreak a couple years ago a disproportionate number of influenza deaths were in pregnant mothers. Pregnant women are considered a high-risk group for complications of influenza. The vaccine is highly recommended for pregnant women. So, to answer your question, not only is it safe for you to get flu vaccine to you and your baby, but it is unsafe not to get one! Thank you for your question!
