Depression?

I've been feeling lonely and sad and all I want to do is be alone. I'm 15 (female) and lately I've been making up excuses to not go out. I cry a lot and for the smallest things. Even for no reason. Sometimes I'm happy and it just changes quickly. I also get mad very easily. I have very negative thoughts and i sometimes can't sleep at night and everything starts coming to mind and I cry. Idon't know what this is, is it depression?

Your symptoms are in part depressive . However you mention shifts or sudden changes in your mood. You also say you get mad easily. Its very possible that your combination of symptoms as you describe them represents a type of mood disorder that may be major depression, bi- polar disorder . There is also the possibility that you have a hormonal imbalance. Please talk to your doctor about this as soon as possible to get a more thorough evaluation.
