"There are "shady" auto mechanics and then there are "honest" auto mechanics. The question is, "how do we know who is who?" Just as a dental practitioner can be as shady, finding the right place to trust can become a risky journey.
My review today is not to bash on the dentists/people that i've noted as "shady," but to provide a stepping stone on your trek to a happier and healthier mouth. In short, Dr. Jin Y. Kim Periodontics is -by far, the best in his field.
Dr. Kim definitely takes pride in his profession. My experience and results says it all. It is obvious that he enjoys his skill sets and renders his services beyond most experts. His office is immaculate and his staff members are what you would expect when in a professional environment.
Bottom line. If your tooth pains are resolved with temporary solutions and your visits seem endless for that same pain, stop wondering what to do and look up Dr Jin Kim. Nothing beats simple honesty, good integrity and expert craftsmanship!

Dr. Jin Y. Kim was born in Korea and grew up in Sydney, Australia. There he attended the University of Sydney Faculty of Dentistry from 1982-1986. He also obtained an advanced degree in pathology from the Medical School of University of Sydney, graduating with honors in 1988. From 1989-1991, he served as a Christian missionary in his native Korea, having been deployed by the Uniting Church of Australia. As a large advocate of continuing education on advanced periodontal and implant surgical techniques, Dr. Kim was a founder and director of the West Coast Dental Institute. The courses offered here are eligible for credit hours with California Dental Board and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Kim is married to Dr. Connie Kyung Choi, a dentist trained at USC School of Dentistry, and practicing general dentistry in the city of El Monte, California. They are the proud parents of three boys, Justin, Stanley, and Cameron.
He enthusiastically participates in boy scout activities, having served as cub master for Pack 1238 in Fullerton, and currently as an assistant scoutmaster at Troop 93 in Fullerton, California. He often accompanies his sons on their Boy Scouts trips.
