Hand and Microsurgery Associates Office Information

Usually after a labral repair in the shoulder the labrum is not completely healed after 5 weeks from surgery. It certainly is weaker and more prone to injury. It would also depend on where on your glenoid the labrum it was repaired. If you had a SLAP repair then heavy lifting would definitely stress that repair considerably. Make an appointment with your surgeon and let him know what happened.
