Q: What got you into this specific medical field?
A: It combines the fields of Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery and Neurology. I am able to care for a wide variety of diseases and disorders of vision, the eyes and face. My day may include helping a young child with visually disabling drooping of the eyelids, to removing tumors and reconstructing a patients eyelids and face. I also help patients look younger with a variety of surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenating techniques.
 
Q: What landed you in your city, and what is it that you like about the neighborhood?
A: I was raised in Nassau County on Long Island. Woodbury puts me in a geographical location that allows easy access from all over Long Island.
 
Q: Where did you receive your undergraduate and professional degrees, and did you participate in any residencies?
A: Undergrad at Franklin and Marshall College. Medical School at University of Pittsburgh. Residency in Ophthalmology at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology at University of Minnesota.

A: 1993
 
Q: Do you belong to any professional associations?
A: American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, New York State Medical Society, Long Island Ophthalmology Society
 
Q: What investments in your practice equipment and facilities have you made?
A: My biggest investment is in my ongoing education. I do over 40 hours of Continuing Medical Education every year. This includes learning the newest surgical techniques. I also have several lasers less than two years old.
 
Q: What procedures do you feel your practice excels in above others?
A: Cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery.
 
Q: What are the best moments that make it worthwhile?
A: When I hear a child say they feel better because they now look normal. Removing a cancerous growth from a patient's face and reconstructing it so it looks as if nothing was ever there.
 
Q: What are your office hours?
A: Mondays 10-7, Tuesdays 9-6, Wednesday 8:30-5, Thursday by appointment only.

A: We are in network with most HMO's and PPO's in the area. We offer financing via CareCredit.
