Dr. Kelley stood by me as a great surgeon, but she also was the unfaultering light through all of the up and downs during the darkest periods. She cares about her work greatly, but she cares about her patients even more. I would not change any decision I have made in my choice when I made the decision to have her become my surgeon. Also, her staff is amazing. The ladies always did their best to make me comfortable and they always returned phones calls immediately, as well as staying connected via email when needed. My only negative experience was with one of the nurses when I spent the night. I would most likely not spend the night again for fear of having her again. I was looking forward to being pampered and instead I was in fear of the nurse. I did report this situation with the head nurse and Dr. Kelly so they were aware and immediately discussed and addressed my concerns.

"I had reconstruction surgery following breast cancer in 1987. I decided several years ago to have a "do over" as the first implants were surrounded by scar tissue, had shifted their position, and the appearance was very poor. I consulted multiple plastic surgeons in the Indianapolis area as I wanted the surgery to be right the second time. Several of the doctors I saw spent less than 10 minutes with me. I knew several people that had superior results from elective cosmetic procedures by the other doctors in the practice with Dr. Kelly and so I contacted the office. I was directed to Dr. Kelly as the doctor for my surgery. I will never forget Dr. Kelly saying that she was sorry for taking so long with my exam as she discussed my surgery and took measurements. She stated that she wanted to be sure that when she did the surgery that she had options for getting the best results and that she just worked that way. The door opened and a receptionist even told her that her next appointment was waiting however Dr. Kelly did not wrap up my exam but continued her meticulous planning for my surgery. My surgery was on a Friday and when I woke up on Sat. at St. Vincent there was Dr. Kelly in her jeans and turtle neck checking on me herself prior to my discharge. Her quality of care in unmatched in my experience in the healthcare field and it continues each and every time I return for follow-up appointments. I am an active volunteer for the Central Indiana Komen organization and I often share my respect for the work and compassion that Dr. Kelly providers as a doctor because I want other women to experience the level of care I have had from Dr. Kelly. Anonymous"Dr. Kelley is pleasant and competent. My breast reconstruction results were not as good as I had hoped, but that was probably due to the tissue left to work with. I have some discomfort from the implant; when I try to discuss it, I don't feel Dr. Kelley understands - she seems a little defensive which I believe gets in the way of her fully hearing what I am saying. This is not a major issue, but is a little frustrating. I don't try to discuss it any more. The office staff is friendly on the surface, but it sometimes feels over-done and fake. The one time I had a problem, the staff member immediately became irritated. Overall, the office meets my needs."
