These clips can be removed through laparoscopy, however, as with any revisional surgery near the liver and gallbladder, there is 1) a high rate of conversion to open surgery (large incision) and 2) a high risk of complications and injuries (common duct, liver, intestine) to surrounding structures. I would first make sure that your symptoms are not due to something else, before embarking on this perilous journey. I wonder if seeing an allergy specialist (if you have not already done so) to figure out the allergy part this, may be an important first step. Revisional surgery of that area is not easy and fraught with problems that could potentially leave you with more problems.
