Nodule around the elbow are not worrisome- Typically- it can be a bursa sac that you are feeling called the olecranon bursa. This can swell and go down with activity and time. The key is to leave this area alone and stop touching the area. It only causes this to swell more. We do not drain these as this causes more harm than good, and they begin more permanent by doing so. At the very least, I tell my patients, if its tender and bothersome, ice the area down- 10 min session three times a day and wrap the area with ace bandage. Get any weight off the elbow just as not resting it on tables, etc. Just wait and watch.
