PRK
PRK or photorefractive keratectomy is a great option for laser corrective eye surgery. Unlike LASIK, PRK does not require a corneal flap to be cut, but the same laser is used to reshape the surface of the eye. Also, PRK tends to have a longer visual recovery time and is more painful after the surgery. PRK can be done for those who may not be LASIK candidates.

Clear lens extraction
Instead of reshaping the cornea with a laser, one can opt to have the clear, natural lens removed and replaced with an artificial lens.  The new, artificial lens will have most or all of your glasses prescription embedded into it.

Some patients may not be candidates for laser corrective surgery or may not want to do anything permanent.  The Visian Intraocular collamer lens or ICL may be for you.  This thin lens is placed in the eye between the colored iris and the natural lens.  One great advantage is that the lens can easily be removed at anytime.
