Q: What got you into this specific medical field?
A: I love the balance of art and science that is orthodontics.
 
Q: What landed you in your city, and what is it that you like about the neighborhood?
A: I did a study of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland and determined that Selinsgrove, PA was the best place for me to set up my practice since I was the only orthodontist in the county. There are a lot more orthodontists now but it has been a great place to raise a family and live.
 
Q: Where did you receive your undergraduate and professional degrees, and did you participate in any residencies?
A: I graduated from Mount Union College with a B.S. in Chemistry, then the University of Pittsburgh with a D.M.D. and then a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania.
 
Q: Do you belong to any professional associations?
A: American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and Central Susquehanna Valley Dental Association
 
Q: What year did you begin practicing?
A: 1979
 
Q: What investments in your practice equipment and facilities have you made?
A: I have 4 state of the art offices.
 
Q: What procedures do you feel your practice excels in above others?
A: Although we provide excellent orthodontic treatment for adults and children of all ages, we have developed a reputation as Early Orthodontic/Orthodpedic Treatment Specialists. We also provide very successful treatment of temporo-mandibular joint pain and dysfunction and relief of facial pain.
 
Q: What are your office hours?
A: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
 
Q: What HMO or PPO providers are you in network with? Do you offer financing?
A: With good credit we offer:
1) 5% discount on the treatment fee when paid in full at the beginning of treatment
2) 2.5% discount on the treatment fee when 1/2 is paid at the beginning of the treatment
3) in-house no interest financing
4) no down payment outside financing spread out over several years
 
Q: Do you accept any government programs or discount cards?
A: We provide a $100.00 credit to the treatment of siblings of the first child in a family.
 
Q: What are the most challenging parts of your everyday practice?
A: Patient motivation to help in their treatment by maintaining excellent oral hygiene and elastic wear cooperation.
 
Q: What are the best moments that make it worthwhile?
A: The smiles from not only the patient but the parents, grandparents and siblings when we finish each broad and beautiful smile.
