First thanks for writing. This is a very common question and a good one. If you are referring to any post operative discomfort the most common report from patients that we receive is a feeling of pressure in the bone in the area where the implant was placed. This sensation usually only lasts for the first 12-24 hours and is manages by ibuprofen. There are rarely any other concerns reported. Post operative infection can occur in the gum tissue around the site but patients are put on antibiotics prior to the procedure and remain on them for a few days after. In general patients are surprised how easy and painless the whole procedure is and best of all they have a new tooth without having to damage any of the surrounding teeth!
Thanks fir your question,
