Sharp random pain in sides. Lasting for years. What is it?

For several years I've been having these random pains in my sides. They hit randomly and are very sharp. They only last for maybe 5 minutes or so, but they knock the wind out of me. When the pain hits, it's either on my left side or right side. On the left side the pain is in one area, and on the right side the pain is in a different area. Any advice?

It's hard to say exactly what it is without evaluating you, however I have had patient's in the past with similar symptoms, and in those cases it was due to a Cervical/neck issue causing pressure on the nerves that go to the diaphragm.
I would recommend seeing a Holistic Chiropractor and having it checked out.
