I.V. sedation is considered safer than general anesthesia. The child will have no recollection of this event, other than the silver crowns on his teeth. A pedodontist or a well trained general dentist should have no problem with his treatment and sedation. As a side note, why is this 3 year old child receiving this treatment? The parents of this child should be charged with neglect! It's the 21st century! This shouldn't be happening! A child's first dental visit should be 6 months after his first tooth erupts. This is taught in birthing classes. Anyway, good luck, and don't let this happen again!
