Zika Virus

Hi. Me and my husband booked a vacation in Puerto Rico to travel in September. I am not planning to get pregnant for the next 6 months. But anyway we are afraid of the alert of zika virus in Puerto Rico happening how. What if any of us will get bitten by an infected mosquito ? Should we cancel the trip ?

My advice is for you to pray about going on the trip and if you and your husband have peace about going on the trip then take the trip and enjoy it. However, if you do not have peace about taking the trip, you may want to change your plans. There are a lot of viruses, bacteria, and other infections which can cause you and or your offspring harm, and you can literally worry yourself sick over all the harmful possibilities. So, please pray about the situation for you and your husband and let God's peace guide your life. Also pray for God's wisdom regarding necessary precautions in all situations.

Heck no! Puerto Rico is a wonderful place, and the risk of zika to those not pregnant is really minimal.
