  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Hi.I had a fight with my brother during which he smacked me on the floor of tiles.I went for mri of left knee which showed ACL changes of grade 2.When I went to physiotherapist she uplifted my both legs, after which I'm suffering from severe back pain.Mri showed disc bulges at L4-L5 & L5-S1 level along with an annular tear. Its been 8 months but no improvement despite taking Nsaids.I feel debilitated as cant function as a normal human being.Kindly tell how long will it take & what's the cure?

Have you been to a Chiropractor yet? It would be best to have it checked and x-rayed in the non-recumbent position (standing up) position. It may be something simple but with an examination and orthopedic tests it can be pin pointed. What I always say is that if it was a mechanical injury, you need a mechanical solution, not a chemical one.

t sounds like you have bio mechanical problems which ar continuing to stress the injured area. If you have a stone in your shoe and your foot is inflamed while you walk would you just take medication for the inflammation or take . the stone out of your shoe first. Go see a chiropractor

Make sure you see the right doctor of chiropractic, get a thorough examination and history performed. Sounds like nerve problem due to disc. Decompression may help.

I recommend you start with a thorough chiropractic examination , bring you MRI results with you to the examination. Other studies like an X-ray of you low back may be requested. Conditions like yours respond favorably to chiropractic treatment and prescribed exercises.
See a chiropractor for Decompression therapy asap. Given your age unfortunately I have seen less success with younger patients, but do try the decompression. a standard program is 3x/week for 8 weeks. get an adjustment each visit and be sure you call around to see who is gentle and qualified. if that does not work you other only option is micro discectomy.

For the low back pain I recommend spinal decompression or traction, whichever you can find. It's not a popular treatment, because it doesn't make the provider much money, but it's the most effective treatment for such problems. Good luck finding someone to do it. And no more stupid fighting with your brother- I guess it's too late for that advice. Learn more on my website at www.backstrong.net
See a good chiropractor. It should not take more than 30 days to feel a lot better after beginning treatment. Make sure you receive massage therapy as well.

Seek out a chiropractor that utilizes disc decompression therapy. If you do not show improvement within 6 visits seek out an orthopedic surgeon.

Dear young lady

1- first you have re evaluate --- y to be exaimed our need for the uplift --- you need to remove them or have new ones

2- get examined by a good chiropractor - re evaluate and analyze your condition.

3- the chiropractor may need an x-ray plus your MRI to assist in diagnosis and plan of treatment

4- you may need modification of your daily lifestyle ,ex.: the way sleep, move, carry things --- etc.

5- if you follow a good treatment protocol --- you may feel good improvement in few weeks or may become pain free --- even if you become pain free --- you need to continue your chiropractic treatments as recommended.

good luck
