4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Weird bowel issues

I'm 15. Recently I have had blood on the toilet paper when I wipe, but not seen on stool except very little on the surface. Yesterday, the blood was gone. I had one normal bowel movement. Now last night and early today I had good texture but maroon bm's. Within the last hour, it has gone to brown almost diarrhea.

No abdominal pain!

Help?! Again, I'm a 15 year old female 5'8 and an athlete at 116 lbs

It is most likely hemorrhoids, anal fissure, or inflammatory issue leading to blood discharge or it could be, although unlikely, cancer.

This is not a diagnosis, but it is a serious sign to have blood in the stool that warrants immediate attention. See a Gastroenterologist MD or a functional medicine doctor.

Hello. You may have a virus causing diarrhea. The blood could be due to hemorrhoid or anal fissure. However, if you have bloody diarrhea then it could be due to a colitis- either infection or inflammatory (etiologies include Crohns disease or Ulcerative colitis). Agree with Dr. Plumser- starting a probiotic will help you. One I prefer is called Align, one capsule daily. You can purchase at any over the counter drug store. If your symptoms of diarrhea to not improve, then you should contact a gastroenterologist.

Hope this is helpful
This is most likely acute colitis usually related to a virus, or food exposure. These conditions usually resolve on their own within 72 hours. Drink fluids, and see your doctor to make sure you haven't developed a different kind of condition. Avoid milk products and fibers until better. Once resolved, recommend starting a probiotic formula.
