4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

If you cannot straighten your leg it is very likely a knee problem. See an orthopedist.
lots of factors, as said below, clot being the most serious. possibly even shingles or a compressed lumbar nerve. See you MD or chiropractor

You may have pulled or worse torn soft tissue and worse as there are a number of possibles. Get a physician DC, MD or DO to evaluate the area. Further use could make the problem worse. Don't wait.
The possible causes for your left calf pain include a blood clot, a strained/torn calf muscle or a pinched nerve in your lower back. I would recommend initially being evaluated by your primary care physician to rule out a possible blood clot before moving on to see a specialist in either sports or spine medicine.
Possible causes of calf area leg pain include: Blood clot (are you a smoker and/or are you on the Birth Control pill or other synthetic hormone replacement therapy?). A pulled or strained muscle, poor circulation or radicular pain from above (or less likely) below the area of pain. Other causes are possible such as: Infection (cellulitis) or autoimmune disease(s). The other providers are all correct on this. It is important to determine if you could be suffering from an embolism (blood clot) since you did not provide any history of trauma, or over use. Diagnostic testing is needed to determine this and any Chiropractic doc, D.O., or M.D. can order these tests for you, but if it is indeed an embolism, you will need medication. Good luck.
If this is sudden onset with no history of any trauma or you had recently been on a plane or scuba diving, you should be evaluated by your medical doctor to rule out a blood clot.
hi

it would be recommended to rule out venous embolism (small blood clots blocking the vein/ blood vessel ) -- perform also dopplar (check potency of blood vessels in the lower extremities)-- if it negative -- check a chiropractor to find out what is causing your pain and put conservative treatment plan for your condition --- still --I would recommend Co management between MD and DC in this condition to get the best outcome

Good luck -- in good health

I would recommend getting in to see your MD ASAP to rule out a clot or embolism which can be a very serious condition. If this comes back negative, schedule a visit with a chiropractor or PT to determine the cause of the pain.
Just wondering if you had it checked out medically, and what they found if anything.
