4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Removal of leg cast, child with leg brace aftercare

My 5 to son recently had leg cast removed, for a broken femur on leftside. He is now in a leg brace for the next 2-4 months. When he tried to stand up he lost his balance and fell. He screamed and cried, horribly. I put him on sofa, did my best to comfort him. A few hrs later, I tried to check his leg, but he freaked out again, he doesn't want us to move him or touch his leg. What symptoms should I see to determine the need for ER visit or PCP visit?

You need to take him to the ER to be examined and re-x-rayed. Perhaps there is a mal union.
I am assuming the cast and brace were both done by an orthopedist. Call his or her office immediately and tell them about this.
Your son should be re-examined by his primary care doctor immediately.
Sounds like potential non-union of the fracture. Get it x-rayed and go from there.
I would recommend you take him to the Orthopedic surgeon who put the cast on and removed it and find out about getting him into a rehab program to regain his strength and stability. Movement is necessary for any rehab program but the fracture should be re x-rayed and make sure it's stable first. If you find out everything is stable get him into rehab right away so he doesn't lose mobility and strength. Best of luck with your son and his recovery.

Get in to your primary care physician ASAP!!!!
If he can't stand on it and can't stand touching it, that requires a trip to the ER do not wait for a PCP visit. This could be very serious because of the healing complications caused by diabetes. Get him to the ER now.
I would take him immediately to your PCP (Pediatrician) for a re-eval
