4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Dizzy, tired, blurred vision

Hi, my 15 year old daughter has been getting dizzy and having blurred vision either after she first stands up or after she's been walking a couple of feet. This has always occasionally been a problem but, for the past couple weeks it has been consistently every time she stands up and is getting to the point where she needs to stop and grab something or she will fall. She has also been getting tired quicker than normal and sweating more. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance!!

Find low drug prices at local & online pharmacies

One cause for low blood pressure is adrenal issues. I would have her cortisol tested to rule out Addison's disease, in addition to the comments below. If bleeding is the issue, remember that birth control pills cause a LOT of problems like weight gain, low thyroid function, and even possible future gall bladder surgery. So if it's heavy bleeding, be sure to actually help her balance her hormones using naturopathic, botanical or homeopathic medicine. But get her checked out before she hurts herself!
Well, the first shoot from the hip answer to this problem would be anemia. If she has heavy periods, that would make the diagnosis plausible. She definitely needs to see the doctor, so make an appointment with your family doctor or pediatrician. Considering the severity of her symptoms, I would emphasize that you need to act quickly!

I hope she feels better soon!

Sounds like "orthostatic hypotension" which has multiple causes but is most commonly attributable to dehydration. Questions:

1) Is she particularly thin?

2) Does she have an eating disorder?

3) Does anemia run in the family?

4) Does she have heavy menses?

5) What is her heart rate and blood pressure?

6) Do thyroid disorders run in the family?

7) Has she seen a physician?

The last is the most important. You need to get her into a physician for a physical and likely some blood work. Blurry vision and dizziness are NOT common, dismissable symptoms. She needs to see a physician ASAP.
