4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

IBC versus Mastitis

I am 26 years old-my and my last baby was over 3 years ago and I only breastfed him for about 2 months. I started noticing pain in my right breast around 1 month ago-I also noticed swelling. I was seen today and she noted the swelling and extreme pain that I am now having-sent me for immediate ultrasound that showed hyper-vascular tissue in the lateral aspect of my breast. They said mastitis but cannot rule out IBC. We are making a decision in 10 days after antibiotics-no redness or rash. Thoughts?

Thank you Dr christi. I'm not breastfeeding though and haven't been for 3 years. Dr. Kardos I agree with what you said abd it's very difficult waiting with the pain. I'm only 24 hours into antibiotics and hoping for relief in the next few days.

Agree with antibiotics. Mastitis is common in breast feeding women. In case this is not resolve after antibiotic therapy, further investigations advised.
Although breast cancer is les common in younger women, IBC can be very agressive. It is wise to try a course of antibiotics and then do a core breast biopsy to rule out IBC. It is unusual to get mastitis so far out from breastfeeding. It sounds like your GYN is correct in the thought process. Try to be patient during the discovery process which I know is stressful.
