However I am 5.6 and weigh 210. Also have issues with fertility. What do you think?

looking strictly into thyroid may not give the best finding. the focus should also include; adrenal and hormones as well (estradiol, shbg, progestrone, etc.)
In all likelihood, thyroid is not your issue. It is very apparent you have hormone dysfunction at a higher level. I would recommend looking at a salivary cortisol panel along with steroid hormones. Cortisol x 4, DHEA, estrogens, progesterone, melatonin, testosterone. This will help you identify potential hypothalamic-pituitary axis issues at the brain level. Leptin is also a key hormone that you are likely resistant to. Leptin is the master energy regulator for the body. It all starts with leptin.
Good for you for wanting to understand your health. I understand your struggle with weight loss. While working with many young women with similar circumstances as yours noted, a pretty healthy diet may not be quite enough. I would recommend a full nutritional assessment by a Registered Dietitian to determine not only what you are eating but also any lifestyle factors, timing of meals and nutrient composition to see if a few simple changes can help strengthen your metabolism with the exercise you mention. One quick tip is the tried and true 4-6 small meals or snacks per day balanced over the hours of highest activity and tapering off as the day ends. I refer many of my patients to a trusted endocrinologist when a nutrition assessment indicated endocrine issues. I'd check with your insurance provider to see if a referral is necessary and take those next steps to address any issues you feel are holding you back from living your best life. Good luck on your health journey!
I suggest that you see a Nutritionist as well as a doctor who can evaluate thyroid. Your healthy diet may need some tweaking if you cannot lose and are working out. If your thyroid lab tests come out "normal" seek a holistic doctor who can help you with non-hormonal thyroid support. I do this with my patients all the time. A good detoxification program might kickstart some weight loss, also.
You may want to try the Ashwaghanda for your low functioning thyroid and also Maca for fertility issues. If these remedies are not helpful then further diagnostic testing may be needed.

You do need a hormone evaluation, including good physical exam and through hormone testing including thyroid, adrenal and sex hormones. I recommend salivary or urine testing as it is more accurate. (However, m most conventional endocrinologists use only blood testing.) This could be hypothyroidism, PCOS or another endocrine disorder. Other things to consider include food allergies, systemic inflammation, malnutrition or toxin exposures (which can result in toxin storage in fat cells and subsequent 'stubborn' fat.) Best of luck to you!

Both the issues you mention COULD be due to hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid function) but good luck thinking you will definitely find out the truth about your thyroid function by consulting an endo - most of their approaches are TERRIBLE, leaving millions of Americans to suffer the consequences. I can't say whether you have definite hypothyroidism or not since you have not given me any blood levels to go on. The best paper on hypothyroidism in the world is at this link: http://www.HypothyroidismOptimalTreatm,ent.com

If you can give me your TSH, Free-T3 and Free-T4 serum levels, I can tell you your thyroid function more accurately than anyone else in the world. I also do detailed blood testing for numerous nutritional and other metabolic factors and have a 36-yr history of outstanding results in most chronic physical and mental conditions.
It sounds like you need a good evaluation froma Naturopath to see where your deficiences and imbalances are. Once you know there answers, you can start to correct them and that shoud make your weight loss an easier task. Good Luck...
You should see a local Reproductive Endocrinologist. The symptoms you have may be due to PCOS, and may be part of the syndrome. Blood work as well as pelvic ultrasound would be helpful.
