4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Pacemaker is intended to pace the heart provided proper use.

Request early appointment for device interrogation to perform diagnostic testing.

What happened? did you move out of town or state? you need to have a routine pacemaker clinic every 6 months or earlier, if pacemaker reprogramming is needed. The other reason is that the pacemaker battery will eventually drain and when it does, it usually has about 6 month safety window to replace it. Please don't get lost to follow up again ok?!
Budi Bahureksa
The recommendation is to check out pacemaker function every six months to a year, depending on the type. You only need to know the brand name, St Jude, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, etc and your doctor can call the representative from the company in to interrogate the device and see if it is functioning properly. Pacemakers help to prevent the heart from beating too slow, so the symptoms of improper pacemaker function generally would be dizziness or even passing out.

I'm not sure what you mean by a stroke of the heart. But if you want your pacemaker to get checked out, that can be done pailessly and non-invasively with an external magnetic monitoring/analyzing device designed by the pacemaker company for every model of pacemaker. That can be done by your Cardiologist or whoever implanted your pacemaker in the first case. It should be done routinely anyhow to make sure the battery capacity is okay and that all the setting are still good for you!

A pacemaker should be checked at least yearly. Having said that, a "problem" with the pacemaker is unlikely to cause a stroke or heart attack.

To prevent a stroke or heart attack, you should see a doctor to evaluate your risk factors. Also, must you take ibuprofen?

Thank you I don't have any of those symptoms

Signs and Symptoms of a stroke:

Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body.

Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or difficulty understanding speech.

Sudden trouble seeing or blurry vision in one or both eyes.

Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or lack of coordination.

Sudden severe headache with no known cause.

Call 9-1-1 immediately if you or someone else has any of these symptoms.

It is important that you see a cardiologist at least once a year for a regular check up and pacemaker management. If you are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, pain in your jaw or arm, you should call 9-1-1 immediately.
