It is alright to start your diet right away, but the benefits will be greater after your colonoscopy. Contrary to what some others have said, there is currently a great deal of interest and research being done on dysbiosis. In fact, for some patients "fecal transplant" is undertaken due to the severe derangement in a patient's gut flora. The number one factor in this condition is over use of antibiotics which kill the helpful bacteria in your gut and provide an opportunity for candida and other pathogens to overpopulate. So, as you alter your diet, try to avoid antibiotics, take a probiotic at least twice a day. I have seen some patients improve on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. (SCD). It is not mainstream medicine, but it will not harm you though it is very strict and difficult to follow. I hope your measures to resolve your condition are successful.

Yes, start your diet immediately, low carbs, no cow milk products, a lot of fiber and plenty of water. Make it simple!

Immediately. If results are negative, rethinking strategies is in order.

first; a saliva and stool combination test by your practitioner and have them to do the following in the order bellow:

second; boost your immune system.

3rd, strengthen your elimination organs.

4th, start a slow, none invasive and gradual clean up trough your practitioner monitoring your progress.

last; if no result obtained, then you and your practitioner are not doing it right, so colonoscopy should be considered followed by a balanced dietary habit.

With Candida you need to remove sugar and yeast from your diet for about a month.

Herbs such as Grape fruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oregano, and garlic also helpful.
A colonoscopy looks for pathology in the colon, not for dysbiosis. If you want proper labs for dysbiosis and candida then you should have a stool test and organic acids test performed. Also, you should know that diet is always the first place to start but is not enough in many cases. Most need additional treatment measures whether natural or pharmaceutical.
If you have allergies, it is very possible that you have fungus and non-helpful "bugs". Have you taken many antibiotics? Does your diet contain grains and sugar? It takes many steps to assist with correcting this so that the balance of good bacteria is restored. A strong cleanse is a good place to start, then probiotics and digestive enzymes will help. Because of the symptoms and allergies, this is a good thing for you to do, regardless of any lab tests.
Lab work is not always conclusive with respect to diagnosing a problem and should not be relied upon solely on it's own. Candida is a yeast that resides in all of us, typically in the digestive tract and in a balanced state serves a good purpose. Like anything in our health, when it gets out of balance, the structure of the yeast changes and it becomes parasitic taking root in different tissues and begins to colonize. The result of this is chronic inflammation which contributes to degenerative disease and multiple health problems. A proper cleanse to eradicate the overgrowth of Candida is required and must be adhered to religiously if someone wants to truly rid themselves of the overgrowth. The slightest intake of sugars can continue the process of growth especially for someone that has a severe overgrowth. Other toxins can also contribute to the proliferation of the yeast such as heavy metals and pharmaceutical drugs.
Candida is a prevalent cause for stomach problems as well as allergic reactions. Cleansing your colon may be an option as well as taking the herb wormwood to rid the body of any parasites.
