4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Find low drug prices at local & online pharmacies

18 years old with no appetite, lumplike in the throat, abdominal discomfort. Ask your Naturopathic Physician for an O&P test (stool test) especially if you are a big meat consumer, or have been in a foreign country lately, or have unorthodox oral sexual habits.

The feeling that there is air near the top is typical for people who have a hiatal hernia. 90% of Americans have this condition is it is generally stress induced. I could also have an effect on the other symptoms you are having, especially if you feel like you might have a lump in your throat. You might see if you can find a chiropractor who can adjust a hiatal hernia, or do it yourself. Directions are on my website: http://healthstudio.com/hiatal-hernia/

In this case I would suggest some natural supplements to help you cope with stress.
Any type of unusual stress in the last few days? Sometimes that can cause low appetite. Also, some people could have a stomach virus with no fever. If you are constipated you can get low appetite too. It's hard to say. I would get an x-ray see if there is any constipation and some blood work to see if any gluten intolerance has occurred.
It's not common for you to have the symptoms you are having at your age. Most likely some type of gastrointestinal disorder such as an ulcer is causing your symptoms. Have your doctor refer you to a Gastroenterologist. He most likely will endoscope you.

Did you work out or lift anything heavy before this happened? Find a Chiropractor or Naturopath who can check you for hiatal hernia. It can easily be adjusted manually and you can be taught to do it yourself in the future. Take some digestive enzymes. If you choose an antacid, realize you are treating a symptom and not a cause, and get the cause identified by a holistic practitioner. Food that is not digesting well ferments and that can cause the air feeling. Don't delay in getting this checked so you can handle it as soon as possible.
You can try an over the counter antacid (like famotidine or ranitidine) and report the changes (or lack of changes) to your PCP. So it can be determined how to handle your symptoms going forward. If it becomes worse or symptoms don't change in the next couple days, check with your doctor.
What were you eating prior to this? Were you injured in some way? If no injury -- such as goofing off with the guys, any punching, etc., football, basketball activities -- have you tried bicarbonate of soda to see if you can burp up the "air". Unusual for an 18 year old not to be hungry or have no appetite. Try the bicarbonate of soda (baking soda mixed with water or alkaseltzer) and see if that doesn't relieve some gas. If it's not that, then I'm not sure what's going on. If it continues, I would suggest a trip to your doctor.
