Since you describe a shooting pain in head, neck and shoulder, a first thought could be pinched nerve due to spinal misalignment or disc injury in your neck. If you suffered some type of injury or whiplash 30 days ago, that would tend to confirm it. An x ray or MRI will provide more to diagnose on. Also the nausea can happen from a high level of neck pain. Get evaluated, and if it is a disc injury, follow through with acupuncture, which will reduce pain, inflammation, and promote soft tissue healing.

This could be a chiropractic issue. Have the symptoms been constant or do they come and go? Worse after eating or in certain positions? A pinched nerve could cause this, but it is also important to rule out anything more serious, so do phone your doctor or go to Urgent Care for an evaluation.

I agree there are too many possibilities and diagnoses that fit this description. More question are needed. Definitely visit your PCP for a visit and physical exam.

The fact you've had this going on for thirty days suggest it's not a fleeting viral problem. If you also note that your eyes are sensitive to light and ears sensitive to sound, you may be having a form of migraine. Try keeping a diary of when your symptoms happen and what makes them better or worse. This may help you find out how to avoid the triggers of your pain. I would also bring your diary to your doctor as this may help with your diagnosis.
Shooting pain in the head caries two etiologies in regards to TCM and acupuncture. First, you have what is called Liver Yang rising. This is usually a reaction to long term stress. Secondary parts of this will also include irritability, mild to severe insomnia, and issues with digestion. You are mentioning digestion so I think this is most likely. Second, your Stomach is in a state of rebellion. Naturally the direction of the Stomach is down, but shooting into with head with nausea could be the Stomach going up instead. That's not a good thing, but not as bad usually as the Liver rising. My recommendation is to see an acupuncturist sooner rather than later and get this resolved.

See an M.D. to obtain a diagnosis. Then see an acupuncturist. You should have some relief after 4-6 visits.
Ditto Stephen Dell-Jones, Acupuncture Physician in Brandon FL. In Florida, we can be your primary care doctor. Get evaluated quickly, get the recommended diagnostic tests all these practitioners are talking about (Physical exam, CT, MRI, if necessary), especially if there's been recent head trauma. Specifically, I want to know if there was something that happened to you that would cause your blood to stagnate and therefore cause this stabbing-type of pain. It's significant. If so, we have to safely move the blood and get you un-stuck. Acupuncture Physicians use ancient, time-tested, herbal formulas to do this. You won't have to take these formulas forever, just to get the blood unstuck.

Once that turns out all clear --Think about toxins. Consider getting a non-invasive & painless Hair Tissue Analysis from Analytical Research Labs (I charge $77) to identify heavy metal toxins and mineral imbalances that often are culprits to pain (fluoride in water, pharmaceuticals, lifestyle & diet choices, antiperspirants, GMO food, pasteurized milk products, vaccines, etc...) Get the report, then do the recommended purification and supplementation program.

There are too many possibilities and diagnoses that fit this description. Haven't you seen eithervyour medical doctor or acupuncturist, or a chiropractor? I suggest you go to see the doctors asap.

You state the pain began 30 days ago. I'm wondering why you haven't seen either a chiropractor, acupuncturist, or your medical doctor. Did you fall 30 days ago or hit your head in some way? You could have a concussion from a fall or head injury or any number of things. It could also be a pinched nerve. Regardless, you need to head to one of the afore-mentioned doctors as soon as possible.
